The Via Sanese is an old pilgrims path between Florence and Sienna, It is one of the variants of the Via Francigena, the historic pilgrims route to rome from the north.

000 The Via Sanese is an old pilgrims path between Florence and Sienna. It is a gentle 90km stroll through soft countryside with good accomodation for 5 days

It goes through soft landscapes for five days covering about 90 km in all. Accomodation en route is plentiful but rather pricier that usual trekking destinations as it is much more comfortable.
